Open to Women and Men in Schuyler County.
You are invited to visit the pages of our LWV web site…

Our mission is to assist voters in getting facts, discussing the pros and cons of an issue, coming to a consensus or agreement on important issues, while informing and educating citizens in our community.  It was that way in 1955 and over fifty years later, the Schuyler County League remains committed to the belief that "An informed vote, is an intelligent vote".  For information about joining us or just attending a meeting, please refer to our Contact Page.  Members may call or e-mail with any questions you have or for any information you may need.

*Since Carrie Chapman Catt in 1920 founded the League of Women Voters, a number of  men have always been a part of that history by supporting their wives, sisters and friends in the Women’s Suffrage Movement in seeking womens’ right to vote.  During that year, the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution would include giving the right to vote to women.  It is Ms. Catt who saw the need to inform and educate some 20 million women at the time, on how to vote in the Democratic process and to have the means to advocate non-partisan issues of policy.  SO, MEN are members too…!
